  • • 1/2 of a large cabbage,( cut up, washed and drained )
  • • 1 ½ cup of diced carrots
  • • 1 can whole kernel corn( drained and washed) Can use frozen corn, defrosted
  • • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • • 2 tbsp butter
  • • 1/3 cup chicken broth
  • • 2 roma tomatoes ( diced)
  • • 1 medium onion ( sliced)
  • • 3 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2tsp seasoning salt
  • 1 ½ tsp red pepper flakes

  1. In a large sauté pan with lid, heat oil add butter, let the butter melts, then sauté garlic and onions for about 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes and bell peppers and thyme sauté for another 3 minutes, then add the carrots and stir and combine really well. ( I like my carrots cut in large chunks, so I covered and cook for 3 minutes, then add corn , salt n pepper, 1 tsp seasoning salt, 1 tsp garlic powder . ½ tsp red pepper flakes , stir really well, add cabbage, and chicken broth or water. Cover till cabbage welts down a bit, about 8 minutes. Then stir using a tongue, add remaining 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp seasoning salt. Stir and combine really well, add the remaining red pepper flakes.
  2. Note: At this point my cabbage is done, as I do not like my cabbage anything nothing but crisp, If you would like to cook it longer then so be it, just keep watching it.
